Welcome to Warcraft Power Guides! My blog is dedicated towards providing WoW players with the most effective resources for maximizing your World of Warcraft experience. I will be covering everything from leveling, questing, dailies, instances, gold, PvP, and end game raiding. Check my review section on the side for my recommendations on the best and worst guides out there.
First, a little bit about myself. I'm a casual gamer. I only play an hour or two a day, if that. However, I've been playing World of Warcraft since launch, and I have 4 characters that I play at level 80: Druid, Paladin, Shaman, and Death Knight. (They're not my only 80's though. I do some speed leveling for fun.) All my top level toons are outfitted in T9/T10 with epic flyers.
No, I did not invest hours upon hours every day for the last 4 years to do this. Like I said, I'm a casual gamer. I have a wife, a job, and other hobbies besides WoW. Quite simply, I invest my time wisely when I play. I don't waste any time. I DID waste time reading through the forums, scavenging the internet, finding the best ways to get the most out of my time playing.
I did make some mistakes along the way. For instance, my druid (my very first toon) was leveled... resto... Ugh, it's painful reminiscing how dreadfully slow that process was. Let's just suffice it to say that I spent my entire 1-60 term of Vanilla WoW in instances(back when Innervate and hurricane were 31pt talents. "No Innervate? No Raid Invite! You Innervated yourself???" *Raidkick*). That's all I could do is heal through. It was the fastest way to go (Or so I thought).
Yes, I did it the hard way the first time. My second toon was a paladin. That was back before they had all the fun buttons to push... Auto attack, seal, judge, rinse, repeat, yawn. Also only a healing class at endgame... "What? You're Ret? Lolretadin! Go away! No Raid for you!!" It didn't matter if I could top a dps chart. I was a healer.
Suffice it to say, I did a few things the hard way. Resto druids failed at leveling, and so did all forms of paladin back then. I scavenged to buy items that cost a few gold. I didn't know where to go or what I was doing wrong. I didn't get my first mount til level 50... Yeah, that bad...
Needless to say, I've learned from all my mistakes, and hopefully you can too. I've gathered up resources that helped me along the way, and I'm posting them here to help you too. Hope you like what you see. Let me know what you think!
