1-80 Elemental Shaman Leveling Talent Spec and gear guide

Elemental Shaman are the pure magic casting class, utilizing fire, frost, and most heavily nature elements. The elemental shaman is a fun class to play with a 1-handed weapon and shield. The challenge though, is managing mana and downtime properly. You will want to bring lots of water and food to keep that downtime minimal, and maximize efficiency.

It is difficult to pick exactly which talents you will want to pick up early on in your leveling as many of them look promising. However, you will want to refrain on many of the fire oriented talents until you get Lava Burst at 75. Later on in your leveling, you will want to back track to these early talents to grab them.

A strong elemental build looks like this:

10-14: 5/5 Convection

15-19: 5/5 Concussion

20: 1/1 Elemental Focus

21-25: 5/5 Elemental Fury

26-28: 3/3 Eye of the Storm

29: 1/3 Call of Flame

30: 1/1 Call of Thunder

31-33: 3/3 Unrelenting Storm

34: 1/2 Elemental Reach

35-37: 3/3 Elemental Precision

38-39: 2/5 Lightning Mastery

40: Elemental Mastery

41-43: Storm, Earth, and Fire

44: 3/5 Lightning Mastery

45-46: 2/2 Elemental Oath

45-49: 3/3 Lightning Overload

50: Totem of Wrath

51-54: 1 point Booming Echoes, 1 point Elemental reach, 2 points Lightning Mastery

55-59: Shamanism

60: Thunderstorm

Now you want some extra points to go into the Enhancement tree:

61-65: Ancestral Knowledge

66-70: Thundering Strikes

Back to Elemental:

71-75: 2 points in Call of Flame, 3 Points in Lava Flows

76-79: 1 point in Booming Echoes, 3 points in Elemental Weapons

Leveling as Elemental can be very confusing from the backtracking, so it is extremely important you know what particular talents are valuable at YOUR LEVEL as some of them are not really worthwhile until higher levels. In the meantime, you have a bloated tree with lots of confusing directions you can go wasting points that might be more useful elsewhere.
